Hello! We are Lauren & Craig. We created Outdoor Kids in 2024 when we attempted to find an outdoor adventure day for our eldest son to take part in. We managed to find one an hour away and so we booked him onto this, a day before it was due to take place it unfortunately was cancelled due to only our son being booked on! We then had a slightly crazy moment of thinking - Surely more children would love to experience the outdoors and meet new people through the love of having fun in nature! So with Lauren working at Rogiet Primary School we decided to ask the headteacher if we could hire their woodland to give our idea a shot..... and here we are! Our eldest son comes along to some of our sessions and we now also have our littlest who is not quite old enough yet to join in!

Lauren has come from a background of logistics and has spent 4 years working at the wonderful Rogiet Primary School as a teaching assistant after retraining in Level 2 & 3 Supporting Teaching. Craig is a qualified Mountain Leader and has always worked in the outdoors with working in some beautiful places like Hong Kong, Norway and France leading adults and children on expeditions. Both Lauren & Craig have volunteered with the Scouts which we are so lucky to have experienced. 

We absolutely love building the children's confidence and providing an inclusive club which is small enough that all children can have our attention but big enough to allow new relationships to flourish.
